High-performance teams

Teams are the result of our belief that many minds can produce better results than one. While this is true, an outstanding team is created, not born.

At Start Making a Difference, we recognise that bringing together a group of high-achieving individuals does not necessarily result in a team that performs to high standards. We work individually and collectively with team members to integrate the seven critical characteristics of high-performance teamwork into their thinking and behaviours.

Our work focuses on developing:

Clarification to achieve a synthesis of vision and purpose
Co-operation to maximise individual strengths
Consensus to encourage commitment to agreed outcomes
Communication to build on continuous interaction and feedback
Confidence to support team and individual development
Conciliation to resolve conflicts and problems as they arise
Confirmation to learn from role-model behaviours and outputs

High-performance teams

Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilisation work
